Positives:
This hotel is well located. The staff is very friendly. Basic amenities are fine. The location allows for an easy escape up the West Side Highway out of town if you are traveling by car, as we were.
Negatives:
The restaurant and the roof deck were both closed. But worse, the hotel felt dirty. We switched rooms because our first room smelled like vomit. The second room seemed clean...enough...but then night two I noticed an item of someone
else's clothing under the dresser. Maybe underwear? Whatever it was, it was gross. Then I started noticing things like hairs in the bathroom....shudder. They clearly do not have a large enough cleaning staff. They used to be owned or managed by Kimpton, and I guess that relationship is over....unfortunate, because I don't think Kimpton would allow this to happen.

The hotel is really close to NY highlights (Broadway theatres, Time Square, Central park etc.) The staff was very polite and really helpful.
Negatives:
The accommodation was booked for four people however every single day we have received only three towels, so we needed to request them every day.
