Positives:
Room was beyond luxury! Our other NYC hotel room would have fit into the bathroom. The bed was so comfortable and the bath was like a swimming pool. Staff gave us a free glass of champagne and mini desserts as we were still in our wedding garb!

Location of hotel.Distance to shopping and subway and Central Park.
Russell at the check in counter.

Have stayed in 2018 and to be honest the standard has gone down.Was not able to reach reception or room service with the phone provided in the room.Ran out of water and room Did not have tea coffee facilities until day 2 of our stay,after I complained -A lovely man named Russell at the check in counter was able to assist!Very grateful to him.

Positives:
The location of the hotel is superb! Most of the staff provided excellent service. Room very spacious but a little tired in places. The Champagne Bar was excellent especially Russell who provided 5* service and a very genuine, friendly person who made our stay!
Negatives:
The quality of the food in the Palm Court could have been a little better. Quite a lot of it closed, such as the bar upstairs, shopping area etc. Not much to do within the hotel itself.

We always love staying at The Plaza. The rooms are spacious and so comfortable. The champagne bar service and food is the best and a great place to sit and relax after a day in the city.

Surprise fees not explained. There are fees that are charged daily, that you receive a credit for food and room service. So I was charged, but missed out on using because it was not explained at check in. They should be up front and charge a flat price.

The location and overall quality of the hotel are excellent.
Negatives:
I did not get the room I thought I was paying for. The bathtub was broken (fixed after a handyman visit) and the TV did not work (was never fixed). I was surprised.
