We were charged $30+ for cleaning fees when we checked in. Our rooms didn't get cleaned, and beds weren't made the whole time staying there. They just took out the trash. I guess the employees were too lazy to do it. Breakfast was not getting refilled. Front counter employees were nice.

I love this hotel and...
Positives:
The best location on the main OBX strip. Not as congested in the Whalebone Junction area. Great views of the ocean and beach. Staff was excellent.

Only problem I had was after checkout. Got a fraudulent charge message from my credit card company. Not sure if it was hacked through Booking or Comfort Inn. No worries. I was notified and it was taken care of.

Positives:
Great location on the beach with a large picture window overlooking the ocean. Great view with a small balcony. Chairs and a small table were provided. It was March so we only walked out on the balcony occasionally. The room had been remodeled and was very clean. Not the best workmanship when it came to finish work. Room doors and elevator doors were small. It had a nice large (43") tv with a better than average cable provider. Internet was easily obtained and good for surfing but very slow if you needed to download and impossible if download was large. Front desk personnel were very knowledgeable, friendly and personable. Rooms were cleaned daily.
Negatives:
Breakfast had a good variety including cereal, pancakes, yogurt, bagels, juices and sausage and eggs. From the looks of things, I suspect that the eggs were powdered and the sausage probably wasn't pork.
