The Mom Trip
Positives:
Cute decorations, lobby is nice, area is very walkable, and the staff are very friendly. It was convenient and easy to access. It's basically a motel but with the rooms facing an interior hallway, and it felt safe.
Negatives:
I couldn't tell what in the room was complementary or not, so I simply didn't touch or open anything they provided. The furniture in the room was kind of old. The walls are relatively thin so I frequently heard other guests in the hallway.

Great hotel near Downtown Raleigh,...
Positives:
I like picking places that are “different”. You guys offered cool snacks and drinks. The bathroom was clean and the housekeeping staff did a great job of paying special attention to their job, including even making a cool design on the bath tissue. (I didn’t have cash with me to leave for them and I always make a point to do this but I promise I will make it up to them next time if you will tell me who cleaned room 36 so I can take care of them, please!! Real talk, please. You have my email.)

It was a bummer the ice machine was out of order but that’s life and things happen. Not a dealbreaker:)
