Positives:
Room had been redone and was clean and comfortable. It was on the first floor, as requested.
Negatives:
I was surprised that there was no breakfast available - only coffee! I was traveling with a small dog. I carry my own baggies, but there was no disposal can in the back area.
Positives:
It was convenient to a decent restaurant. Although I didnt use the suite appliances, I was glad to know that they were there. I will definitely be looking for Candlewood Suites in my future travels.

I was not allowed to stay at this location after making reservations via Booking.com. The individual at the desk when I arrived at 12:30 AM told me locals who lived within a 50 mile radius could not stay. If they would have googled my address they would have learned my Winterville address met the policy. I work in Wilson and after commuting to Charlotte simply wanted to rest to get up and be at work a few hours later at 7:30AM. Instead they caused me to get back on the road in my sleepy state to get up even earlier to arrive at work at 7:30 AM. Policies, clearly not imposed to help people. A great lesson learned that morning.

While the hotel itself was very dated - the lobby, the elevators and the hall carpets, the interior of the room was very clean, roomy and comfortable.
Negatives:
There was a creepy guest who kept talking to me outside the building when I needed to take my dog out and when I was unloading and loading my car - which was VERY early in the morning. It made me uncomfortable. The hotel itself was nice and I liked that there was another hotel right next door but it was not well lite in some areas.
