I was told I would not be charged for the 14th as I did not arrive until the 15th. I was charged and would like this reversed. Both booking.com and the hotel staff told me I would not be charged.

We arrived very late and tired after all day driving and just wanted to get in our room, eat our sandwich, and go to bed. Instead it took an hour to check in with no one in line. The computer was down and the clerk could not just hand us a key and tell us to come back and check in in the morning. She was kind but the hotels check in system was uniquely horrible for the customer. Surely they should have a back up plan for such situations.
We wrote a private letter expressing our disappointment to the two names at the hotel the clerk provided but got no response. So definitely not the best stay for what should have been an easy, seamless night and an embarrassing stay given the bill was ~$200.
