We got a room on the first floor and everything was OK until some people in rooms above us started to walk *a lot*... I went upstairs and realized that the rooms had been booked to parties that intended to do a lot of walking in-between because they kept the doors ajar.... I went back to the front desk and explained the situation to the desk attendant (Kendra) who was absolutely understanding and moved us to another first floor room without any noisy neighbors. The heating system was quiet and efficient. Excellent water pressure in the bathroom and tub/shower as opposed to shower-only. The fridge was cold and quiet. Plenty of TV channels. The pool was available. There are a couple of very decent chain-restaurants within a short-walking distance. Parking is very easy on either side of the building.
Negatives:
The breakfast... We have stayed at quite a lot of Super 8 over the years and it's usually *decent*... It's not the Four Seasons but at least there are some options. I understand that the place was not full, so it's hard to justify a lot of cooking but in this instance the choices were 1) make your own waffle (OK if you like waffles), 2) hard-boiled eggs, 3) re-heated sausages from yesterday, 4) an apple, and 5) a yogurt. I know, I know, I am *picky* but as an advice to the Owner when it comes to hotels/motels, the last impression (when you leave) is as critical as the first impression (when you arrive) because a good last impression can make up for a poor first impression... The breakfast is part of the former i.e. "the place was so-so but the breakfast was great".
