Hampton Inn By Hilton & Suites Pigeon Forge On The Parkway

Negatives: Need a bigger trash can in the kitchen. But the worst part is that when we got to our room the refrigerator was making a lot of noise. Benefit o.f the doubt (BOTD): it just got turned on and would calm down when cold. When we returned three hours later there was ice but the fridge area was only cool, still noisey. BOTD: it'll get cold overnight. Two hours later we noticed that there was water on the tile floor in the kitchen. Called desk, lady came up and unplugged it. BOTD: it'll be fixed next am. Maintenance there in am, said the back of the fridge was frozen solid, and he would thaw it. BOTD: it would be fixed, later would be checked on by maintenance to insure it was working properly. NOPE: not cooling when we returned 6 hours later. BOTD: not this time. Talked to the maintenance man who stopped us in the hall. Called the desk and told them of our extreme dissatisfaction, our concerns that our medication would be ruined, our food would be ruined, and our vacation would be ruined. Having now lost sleep from worrying about the blasted fridge for two nights we were quite irate. No more BOTD. Offered an apology. New refrigerator when we arrived back at the room that night. It should have been done the first night and why didn't housekeeping notice the (extremely) noisey appliance and report it before we ever got there. Our room should have been comped for at least the first two nights.
