Positives:
The management of Dancing Bear has provided such amazing hospitality. The “hiking” gift basket with treats and waters was so thoughtful and appreciated. So enjoyed the granola. Love that there is a porch in back to go sit and enjoy the trees and being outside. The options for in room coffee with real cream in the refrigerator was so appreciated. Make sure you book the Appalachian Bistro on the property for a lovely dinner.
Negatives:
Wish we could have stayed longer.

Smell of room was musty\wet dogish smell. Front door needs adjusting to not squeak horribly bad. Location of room was in back of very busy restaurant. Was expecting more privacy.

Positives:
Secluded cabin close to shops, general store, coffee house and restaurants.
Negatives:
Parking for the cabin was shared with the restaurant and atrocious. Even though the signs say cabin parking, not available due to people parking there anyway!

Positives:
The cabin was perfect for us! Cute and felt homey-we especially appreciated the welcome basket with hiking-safe snacks! The front porch with rocking chairs was a bonus-we loved sitting out on it and reading. And the breakfast was excellent!
Negatives:
The bathtub was a bit hard to get in and out of. And we could hear a lot through the shared wall.

Perfect location for a relaxing vacation, near attractions but still secluded as well. The provided breakfast was fantastic, and the cabin was beautiful. Everyone was friendly and helpful, which added to the experience. Just a wonderful place to stay!

Positives:
Interior of our cabin was clean and comfortable. Shower was good. Free breakfast at the Apple Valley Cafe was delicious. Gift basket was a nice touch. Convenient to have a few dining choices on the property.
Negatives:
The grounds were well maintained but the exterior of the cabins just looked dark and dreary. Our cabin's back porch was full of cobwebs and no comfortable furniture. Nowhere good to relax outside. Too expensive to not have a pool or hot tub on the property. Some cabins do have a private hot tub but our unit did not. Asked for feather-free bedding but did not have request honored. Wifi did not work at all.
