This was a last-minute booking due to my original accommodations booked at the Comfort Suites West Dallas - Cockrell Hill being unsuitable. It was after midnight when I arrived at the Crown Plaza Hotel and the staff was very welcoming and accommodating.

I was racially profiled while staying. On arrival, the security halted me outside and asked What was my purpose there? and said I have no business there and I should leave.. I informed him that I was guest and let the front desk know. They laughed.

I liked the location. I liked that the parking ended up being free, because the gate was broken and the machine didn't work (yay?). I'm thankful there weren't bed bugs, and I did think the staff were very friendly.

It was dirty, broken down and felt a bit unsafe at times. It was sad to see what was clearly a nice, upscale hotel at one time fall into a state of disrepair. The Crown Plaza brand is being dragged down by their lack of investment in maintenance.

The hotel was listed as a 3.5 stars and it felt below 2 stars. I have tried to reach out to the manager and continue to get ignored.
Negatives:
Cleaning was not to par. The floor has wet stains and felt moldy and damp. The place was falling apart, trash everywhere in the halls, room doors looked unfixed, the water was cloudy I didnt even take a shower.
