Days Inn by Wyndham New Market Battlefield

Negatives: Breakfast, what breakfast? A grab and go breakfast consisting of a banana and a granola bar. Wasn't what I was expecting. One of the bedside lights was out.

Negatives: there was some smell in room and room freshner was not provided when asked

Negatives: So many things! Our room door lock broke. It was able to be pushed back together but it broke in a way that the door wouldn't lock when shut. We informed staff and they popped it back into place so quickly, almost like this was a regular occurance. The rooms and building really don't reflect what the place actually looks like. I'm guessing these pictures were taken a long time ago. The listing said it included breakfast but that meant a very sad "grab bag" which had a tiny water bottle, a brown banana, some crackers, and a granola bar. We brought some of our own food and the microwave in the lobby sounds so bad like it desperately needs to be replaced. The lighting is awful in the rooms. Any time I would walk barefoot in my room, even after a shower, my feet would be visably dirty which did not inspire confidence that anything else was clean. They were unable to provide extra pillows even though the motel seemed mostly empty (many open rooms that you could see were empty from the windows). The pillows that were provided were the saddest, flattest pillows I've ever seen. The fitted sheet on the king sized bed was too small (seemed more like a queen) and would slip off every night we were there. The free internet blocks the use of a chromecast so we couldn't really cast anything we wanted to watch to the TV. The property is not nearly as close to the Lurray Caverns or Shannendoah National Park as it reports to be (to the entrances, they might be that close as the bird flies to the edge of those propertities). And, lastly, the guy who checked us in would not speak directly to me (female). He would only talk to my traveling companion (male), who didn't say anything to him (because I made the reservation and had the info). Like, he spoke directly to me once and that was before my traveling companion entered the lobby.

Negatives: I had to park on otherside of building door wasn't sealed it was below freezing that night just not a good experience I will pay a little more next time and go somewhere else

Negatives: Breakfast was below expectations

Negatives: The bathtub had mold near the faucet and hair in the tub. They gave us a room with full beds not queen(we paid for queen), we were too tired to fight to switch rooms. Their "continental breakfast" is a brown banana, tiny bottle of water, crackers in a brown paper bag.-which they have been doing for years now- The site shows the room is supposed to have a microwave(it did not) The room had 2 towels for 4 people. 2 of the rags had black makeup stains. And both top bed sheets had some sort of red staining on it.

Negatives: Breakfast came in a lunch bag. Included a small bottle of water, a banana and a bar. The room had 2 queen beds. Even if I mention in the reservation it was 5 ppl, the beds only had 2 pillows each which were small pillows. There were 2 bath towels only in the bathroom. Front desk person was not friendly. When I arrived ,I came in and said "hello". He just looked at me. I said ine more time. "Hello, can you hear me?", with a smile on my face. He replied "yes". Originally was under impression maybe hasn't heard me. But for working front desk, he needs to work on his customer service skills.

Negatives: Nothing special but value

Negatives: We arrive to a dirty room, and after several calls and visits to the front desk, we were told that the cleaning crew were coming which never arrived. We had to go buy cleaning supplies and cleaned the room ourselves. When I went to take a shower, brown water first came out the faucet. E also found bedbugs on one of the beds. I've asked several times for a refund, in which the Blane keeps getting passed from Pricwline to Days Inn.
