Positives:
Enjoyed the food provided and especially the reception night was excellent! Bed was comfortable, as well as the pillows. We appreciate the staff who were extremely friendly and helpful. We usually look for Holiday Inns to stay at as you are a good provider of comfort, value and great experience.
Negatives:
The SMELL! It was an air freshener overload!!! We wondered what happened that such excessive deodoriser was needed?We asked the front desk and she said it was over powering and unplugged it which helped but it was such an artificial smell as well. The floor/carpet in 202 was dingy /dirty looking and very worn. The over powering smell was in the room as well so we wanted to open the window but it only opened 6 inches. We also noted the computer plug outlet between the beds was not functioning so finally found one on the other side of the room.
Music...it did NOT fit the ambience of such a lovely older home. It was more for a younger crowds car radio station...and the larger majority of guests we saw were the 50+ age range. Suggestion: instrumental vs. singing as background music....It does not have to be all classical, but something of more cozy background coffee house, piano and guitar etc..

Unique on top of hill where you can see the town. It was very fancy. Amazing breakfast, husband enjoyed the biscuits and gravy. Would stay here again.

The staff! Hotel employee went above and beyond when I needed a charger: did not plan on staying overnight so did not pack anything. Girlfriend's birthday better when we could enjoy it later without the 1.5hr drive home! Also Mgr bday gift 4 her was awesome! TYVM

Please get Tums or other antacid at concierge or 'store': heartburn at 2 AM made my night pretty awful. (But not your fault: I ate pizza)
