The king suites are great. The size and comfort are above and beyond for the price you pay. We don't often get use of the kitchenette but appreciate the larger sized fridge and the bathroom facilities meet our needs nicely

The last thing i want when stepping into a room I've never been in, is to arrive with my arms full of luggage, let the door slam shut behind me and be in complete and utter darkness. Especially when you reach for and FINALLY find the light switch and it does NOTHING. It's one hell of a bad way to start a hotel stay. The rooms are never properly cleaned, and the key cards don't stay programed so you regularly have to bother front desk to reprogram one for you. Repairs at needed and not done

My husband and i stay at the emerald frequently. It's a convenient location for us and the rooms are a nice size for the money. Often it isn't properly cleaned, but we have come to expect that and i don't mind cleaning it anyway,
Negatives:
When checking out at the end of our 4 night stay, the desk clerk felt the need to humiliate me in front of other patrons and refused to process the refund of my deposit as we had left "garbage" in the room. The garbage, badges and neatly stacked near the door was a result of me thoroughly cleaning and changing garbages before getting ready to leave. He insisted i go up and bring the garbage from the room. I would have happily done so, but there was no need to be rude and treat me and my husband as if we were leaving a mess behind. Though we have been regular patrons in the past, staying 4-5 nights a month or more, we will not be returning to this establishment. We'll stay instead with a host who employs housekeeping staff and shows a reasonable amount of customer care to their patrons.
