It’s just old.
The carpets, bathrooms , parkade has no valet, exterior is straight out of the 90s peach and aqua, with chunks missing off the pillars in the entrance way, the curtains in our room were broken, and literally hanging off the track, Maintenace had to come and do a quick fix for us late at night, they were also stained, dirty and really just wrecked -with holes in them.
As we were going into the pool other guests told us to avoid the hot tub as it was “slimy”
The Restaurant and it’s view is the best thing going for this hotel.

The Grand …. Is NO...

The toilet is really nice.
Negatives:
I was in room 382.
1. The right side of the bed was creaky. Not possible to sleep in it due to the creaking sounds. Left side was ok.
2. Blackout curtains are dirty
3. The room fridge freezer section was completely full of ice. I normally unplug the fridge for a quieter room. Good thing I checked for ice, as it would have left a huge pool of water. I defrosted the fridge in the bathroom.
4. Window can be opened but would not stay open. I used a water bottle to keep it open.
5. AC is noisy. Like clattering noisy. They use the same AC units as cheap motels. I turned it off and opened the window. But during August, it doesn’t cool down that much at night. I hope you can sleep with earplugs, because you’ll need them.
