Red Lion Inn & Suites Tucson Downtown

Negatives: it is right by the freeway in a very sketchy neighborhood. we had people yelling and screaming at the motel (we thought it was a hotel, but it is not) all night long. They were right outside our room. the fighting and slamming doors had us wide awake and worried about our own safety until about 3:30 am. it started up again about 7 am with someone pounding on doors. It was literally a terrifying experience.

Negatives: Booking.com never stated you needed to be 21 to check in, which nearly left us stranded, but it's not the inns fault for this.

Negatives: everything,stay away from this area,it’s says downtown but it’s ghetto so many homeless and druggie walking by,I got so scared and people racing back and forth at night we couldn’t sleep the fact that it was already close to freeway,don’t get me started with the room,the picture on the website is a freaking lie, it’s disgusting spots everywhere even on our bedsheet,I do really want my money back with this stay,it’s a completely waste of my money l,no hairdryer in the room I ask front desk she said we don’t have any,what kind of hotel that doesn’t have a hairdryer that’s a basic equipment inside a room.It’s super disgusting we just want to sleep a couple of hours then leave because so gross to stay longer here…DONT STAY HERE!!!

Negatives: Loud people in the parking lot in the middle of the night and early morning. Probably has more to do with the area than the property itself, but still off-putting. Room smelled strongly of smoke when I entered. I did let the front desk staff know immediately so that I wouldn't lose my deposit.

Negatives: They have laundry self-service on site but never have changed.

Negatives: First of all the staff decided to give me attitude because their card reader was not working. There was no need for my simple request to be answered by snark. Secondly there was legit BLOOD on the lobby door that my hand was all in. It was dried on so not something that just happened. The room (we had been told at check in the only one) was nasty and had some very serious health and safety issues. Broken off moulding, rancid water seeping up through the tiles in the bathroom (seen in photo as white looking blob is actually nasty water), missing light fixtures, light and highway noise coming through the door, they even put the bathroom door latch on backwards.

Negatives: at one night a stranger were knocking the door 3 times. felt like first floor rooms are not so safe

Negatives: it smelt like cigarettes when we walked in immediately and was just gross everywhere. we put a black light on the blankets and it was just disgusting. never coming again.

Negatives: We had ants in the bathroom and burn marks in the blanket of a non smoking room.

Negatives: We had a couple of issues with the room. One TV didn't work and smoke alarm had to be disarmed because it kept chirping. Floor had not been swept. It had been a very nice hotel at one time, but is a bit run down now. The area around it is kind of run down now also.

Negatives: Could have used a deep cleaning. Walls and door handles were pretty dirty.
