We had to move rooms 3 times due to them not being clean. The room we ended up in for a 4 night stay had no handle on the water valve for shower/bath- meaning no bathing option.
This is the second time I have ever been disappointed in a hotel, and quite rightfully so. I booked a queen room for my mom and mother-in-law who discovered bedbug bites after their stay in Red Roof Inn Plus+ Williams. I contacted the property twice via phone to report a problem and was brushed off both times. First time around, I was told that unless we have a picture of actual bedbugs they won't be calling the inspection as it would cost them entire $120. After the call I emailed the property a formal complaint, both via booking.com "mail the property" option and via email to the address they provided. Never heard back. Second time around, when I called and stated that I'm following up on a bedbug issue they asked whether my mom and mother-in-law stayed in room 117. I said that the room number as per my email and previous call is 121. The fact that they asked abt a different room number outright makes me believe we were not the only ones to complain. The manager was not in, but I asked a receptionist to ask him to follow up with me that he got an email (apparently the receptionist can't check hotel email), never heard back. Of course no one ever refunded the stay. At this point I just want people to be aware of this potential surprise that they might get. Bedbug bites can appear within 1 to 7 days after your stay and can travel with you home if you are not careful. I was told that the hotel room was filthy and untidy which no one minded much at that time as it was just for one night before heading back to Las Vegas. I don't think any traveller would want to bring such a souvenir back with them.
