It was our first stay at the Residence Inn Bakersfield, CA. Entering the room the first thing you notice is the amount of space. The sitting area is the size of a living room. The couch has pillows and is very comfortable to sit on. There's a nice sized ottoman. There are outlets throughout the room. The kitchen area has your silverware, the cabinets have cups, glasses, bowls, plates, skillet, and pots and pans. The coffee pot is a Kurig. We had a king sized bed which was very comfortable. The roll-in shower had a large and small chair to sit on. They provide medium size bottles of soap, shampoo, and rinse. There is a Dennys just down the block. We will be staying there on our return to San Francisco, CA.
Negatives:
They allow pets however, there is no grassy area for them to do their business. And, don't be shocked when checking out as they charge you over $100.00 dollars for pet room maintenance. I would have preferred a standard charge of $25 - 50 dollars. They could check the room at check-out and if a maintenance fee was needed they could keep the over $100 dollars but, if there is no damage they could keep the standard pet cost and return the rest of the pet maintenance.
