Positives:
I didn't use the breakfast room but overall the La Quinta was more than adequate and the price was right.
Negatives:
My room was on the first floor and there was some partying noise in the lobby but it stopped around 10:30 or 11.

Positives:
Solid location, about 20 min from central and downtown Berkeley by bus, about 45 min- 1 hr walking. Room was clean, checkin and checkout very easy, hotel held baggage all day without a problem.
Negatives:
Fitness room had a non-functional machine and breakfast is nothing special.
