Negatives: I regret to inform potential guests about our appalling experience at Motel 6 in Camarillo, California, which significantly fell below acceptable standards. Upon entering our assigned room, we were immediately greeted by a distressing sight: a puddle of water ominously leaking from the refrigerator. This was only the beginning of a series of unacceptable conditions. The bedding on one of the beds was marred with unsettling blood stains, compounding the discomfort with one bed being haphazardly tucked and the other left in a slovenly state, suggesting a complete disregard for basic hospitality standards. Furthermore, exposed wires protruding from the wall presented a concerning safety hazard. The overwhelming odor of cleaning supplies permeated the room, which was so potent it induced headaches, indicating a severe mismanagement of housekeeping protocols. When we sought assistance from the front desk, our concerns were met with a disheartening lack of urgency, taking an unacceptable 45 minutes before someone was sent to assess the situation. Ultimately, the dire state of our accommodations compelled us to forfeit the $91 for one night’s stay and seek refuge elsewhere. We found solace at the Good Nite Hotel across the freeway, where the contrast in service and room quality was night and day – exceptional on all fronts. I strongly advise against staying at this particular Motel 6. The lack of basic cleanliness, safety concerns, and the indifferent response to customer complaints are indicative of a deeply rooted problem within their management and operational standards. It’s absolutely disgusting and unworthy of your time and money.
