Positives: We arrived at the Aloft two days ahead of our cruise and stayed near the airport for the convenience of the shuttle and to avoid the expense of renting a car. We were extremely surprised that the area was so nice. There are some good places to eat, a grocery store and a pharmacy all within a block. We walked into the cute village of El Segundo twice and to El Segundo Beach once to discover the lovely miles-long walking path along the shore. The staff was very helpful with directions, change for the laundry, and suggestions. The bar tender was very friendly as well.

Negatives: It was cold in the main dining, sitting, reception area because the lobby door stayed open most of the time making it very difficult to enjoy sitting for a drink or snack.
