Negatives:
Hot tub broke on Saturday so not working all weekend.
So since we got there Friday and checked out Monday
The reason we paid more at this hotel was for the hot tub and pool as the weather was predicted cool and wet and it would be nice to relax in
The bedroom on first night was like sleeping on an aeroplane due to a constant drone from the air conditioning, which we didn't have on but was servicing the other rooms in the hotel.
Room was on level 5
We got moved to new room but the pillows were lumpy and the toilet didn't work.
We told them, but they sent the maintenance guy to the wrong room while we left the hotel to get food.
Arrived back to the toilet still not working and continually flushing noisily.
We phoned reception to be told the maintance guy was no longer on site . Back tomorrow.
So another noisy night, no toilet and no extra pillows due to there where none left in the whole hotel.
So
Nice hotel but multiply bad experiences that left us not having a good experience.

The location was convenient to walking to the beach, pier and 3rd street
The staff and valet were very friendly and helpful.
The wood floors were nice for cleanliness.
The hotel was clean.
Negatives:
The fact that we didn’t know there wasn’t free parking anywhere, valet was $100 extra for 2 nights I didn’t plan on.
Our room faced the alley and it was noisy at night.
I would stay again but would ask for an interior room. After all day at universal I was looking forward to yhe Jacuzzi but it was filthy! Had hair in it, and the plaster was dirty and peeling, so I didn’t get in.

The location of this hotel is great. But the hotel is a bit warn out. We stayed in a great room. However, there were chips on the furniture and the water flow and temperature of the water were lacking. We also had trouble getting house keeping.

The location was great..... most of the staff especially the valet guy at Night were very nice

Small room....did not have a view like I thought i paid 4. It was uncomfortable the sheet kept coming off of the bed..gross..
Compared to places I paid 200 less for just not a good stay..I was supposed to stay 4 days...I checked out the next!!! And they charged my credit card when I made it very clear I wanted to pay a different way.. here's the worst part...there was a young kid bouncing stomping running back and fourth from about 4am until I checked out at 8...#no compensation just sorry.... I drove 17 hours was exhausted and got no sleep nor was I comfortable until the next place I checked in to. A little compensation would of been nice....it was not worth the money at all..

The suite was roomy, comfortable and well furnished. Jeremy @ concierge was friendly, courteous and helpful.
Negatives:
Hot water was a problem. I literally had to run all the taps in the room for about 10 minutes to get warm water. I spoke to engineering and was told this is an issue if you stay on floor 5 and above…the boiler is on the ground floor.
