Really friendly, helpful staff. The bed was absolutely fabulous, it felt really luxurious. It was close to the airport and convenient for a quick layover. The free shuttles that run between the airport and the hotel were really convenient. I had a great view of the LAX runway from my room and enjoyed watching the plans come in and take off.
Negatives:
The downside of being so close to the runway was that you could also hear the planes coming in to land/take off which I found a bit distracting when I was trying to sleep. I never noticed this noise in other parts of the hotel so it's quite possible that not all rooms would be affected.

The look of the hotel was wonderful, very pleasing lobby and the floor plan was a little confusing getting on and off the elevator but a good location. Couch was an added bonus, view was great.
Negatives:
The coffee shop could not take cards, and I did not want to charge anything back to my room. The charge to check in early was a little inflated. Shower was very nice except it leaked onto the floor. Bathroom door scrapped against the light fixture in the entry way. A few more open outlets would be great.
