Red Roof Inn & Suites Monterey

Negatives: Beds hard, no electricity for 2 nights, no elevator to the 2nd floor, coffee in office is watery, no discount for 2 days of no electricity, had to buy candles just to have light in our room.

Negatives: stuff or manager mistakenly to charge extra 44 cad and not willing to refund

Negatives: Staff wasn't very nice at check-in but it was nothing too serious, just mentioned she wasn't sure there were cribs when I requested and got a confirmation. In the end, the crib was in the room, so no need to scare me!

Negatives: People living in room next to us.

Negatives: The beds were not soft, as other comments indicated, although i have had worse. The refrigerator made a loud, undescibable noise periodically all night long loud enough to wake you. The curtains were black out, which were nice in the A.M. The room was clean. Would not be my choice for a lengthy stay.

Negatives: Just our neighbors a bit loud but it eas pleasant

Negatives: Unfortunately the electricity isn't set up well for the hot tub, as it easily had power surges, with staff manually resetting it using the breaker box. Hot tub would completely turn off after 30 min of use, so we eventually gave up using it. Somewhat disappointing as it was the main appeal for a Valentine's Weekend.

Negatives: I stayed at red roof inn Monterey from January 13-15. We had booked this room only because it had a spa tub in the room. We were busy throughout the day but when we came to room 210 to use it, we found it was not working. We called the front desk and asked how to use it and Maria told us to fill it up all the way. We got it as high as we could without it overflowing and it still was not kicking the jets on. The panel on the tub was showing three buttons, one had bubbles, one showed feet, I forget the third. But the other three weren't working. It just was a dud panel. So we called Maria back and she said that she would have a maintenance guy come out the next day to check it out. So the next afternoon, we come back from our outing and we notice the maintenance guy had been in because the vent above the spa tub was screwed it. When we arrived Friday night it had been hanging halfway down. We also noticed that the tub had a different panel on it. The only before was a dingy discolored panel and this one was a solid white panel. We started it and it still didn't work. So once again, we call front desk and let them know. We get told "yeah, the maintenance guy said he has to order a new part. We're really sorry for the inconvenience". So Sunday when we check out, the front desk lady offers 15% off for this inconvenience. She's not the manager. In fact, the manager happened to be gone for a couple days. We declined and said we would rather speak to her. After all, we paid $500 for this room solely for the spa tub that didn't not work. On Wednesday, January 18th, I reached out to the manager and told her everything I just wrote. She tells me she's hearing two different sides of the story because her maintenance guy told her it was working. She also said they don't have panels on site so she doesn't know how it would be changed. So, basically calling me a liar!!!

Negatives: The kitchen comes with very limited cooking utensils. 2 tiny plates,.1 fork, no chopping board. An oven, but no oven trays. What's the point.in putting a kitchen in if you don't include any kitchen items.
