The night staff was pretty nice. The Day Staff were horrible rude incompitent assuming insulting lousy at their career of choice. The manager assumed my partner snuck in the middle of the night because it showed on their system that no one was there. We did not know that they require us to re register the next day. We had a tall older woman who just stood stared at my partner then prceeded to tell and threaten her telling her that she's calling the police because she said that my partner snuck in the middlle of the night

The staff was welcoming and helpful! When I arrived they had connected me with my sister who was in the neighboring room whom I haven’t seen in years. They accommodated her request upon my arrival that we stay close to another’s room. That was a kind gesture that I greatly appreciated! The property was regularly being cleaned all day long. They were sweeping and power washing the lot. The property had law enforcement patrolling the area which wasn’t intimidating but we felt safe. The location was close to MCRD-San Diego. The price point is what we were looking for. We were also in the vicinity of Starbucks, In-n-Out, and easy access to the freeway!
Negatives:
The room didn’t have light bulbs in the sconces above the beds. The television remote control did not work. The tv did but it was blaring so we ended up just turning it off from the tv because we didn’t want to be that “room”. We mentioned it to the front desk and the receptionist put in a work order promptly. Maintenance came by our room shortly and attempted to solve the issues. He put in an order for the bulbs because they didn’t have one available. He brought another remote to replace the remote but it didn’t work either. He also brought a replacement lamp to help with the lighting because of the lack of lighting from the sconces. My sisters room wreaked of smoke in which she requested a non-smoking room because she has kids and respiratory health issues so the maintenance staff helped with providing a machine to alleviate the smoke smell. It was the attempt of solving these matters we didn’t mind. We just hope that it was resolved before the next guests.

It's just that I had to wait 40 minutes to get a room after I made a reservation I had to stand in a line outside in the cold and it wasn't fun. But the lady at the window was nice. The room was a mess but that's kind of what I was expecting anyway I've been there before but other than that it was a pretty mediocre stay

I didn't like that none of the vending machines worked not one of them none of them accepted quarters all of them either were just credit card only or not on operational and they advertise what a big selection they have in that they have a microwave there but you can't get anything out of the machines without a credit card
