The location was perfect for our stay. We were close to the beach and to downtown. We enjoyed the scenic drive in the vicinity as well.
Negatives:
The west view from our room wasn't great but it was ok for this visit. We spent most of the daytime out and about so it was that big of a challenge.

For the price I paid my wife and I were disappointed in the room. It had a weird smell and the shower had a repair on the floor that stabbed the bottom of your foot when stepped on.

The location was great and the room was a good size . Very clean & well laid out . There was parking available not too far from the room . I loved that the hotel was just a short walk into Del Mar with all the cafes & restaurants.
Negatives:
My only complaint was that we thought we would have a better outlook but unfortunately our room was at street level facing the street. The second room we booked was below us and was facing the car park but was quiter as it was below street level.

THE OCEAN GRILL WAS GOOD AND THE HAPPY HOUR WAS A VERY GOOD DEAL. I LIKED THE POOL AND HOT TUB…CLEAN AND NO ONE THERE.
