I like that. The hotel was enormous, friendly, clean, comfortable, and cozy in downtown San Diego.
Negatives:
The parking situation was outrageous: $56 a night for valet parking? Yes, it's very convenient since it's downtown San Diego, but that's a lot of money just to do parking, and there's no other options.

I had a wonderful stay at this beautiful hotel in Downtown San Diego. The hotel is spacious, comfortable, and cozy, with

The location of the hotel is excellent. Downtown, close to the waterfront and practically in the middle between Gaslamp quarter and Little Italy. The crew of room service was great. Really went the extra mile. Much appreciated! We did get a room at a higher floor and with a partly view on the water. The (bath)room are spacious. The beds are good.
Negatives:
The room felt outdated and was not clean. Especially the carpet shows many stains and needs deep cleaning or replacement. The bathroom needs work. If joints are filthy or old, they need to be replaced, not re-painting. Broken tiles need to be replaced. The AC is extremely loud, preventing us from keeping it on during the night. If you book a room with breakfast included, you can have "eggs in various styles" and one drink. All other options require extra payment. Parking: If you prefer not to pay 50$ for valet parking, there is a public parking around the corner at Columbia St. charging 28$ for a day.

Good location, but the hotel was disappointing
Positives:
Great hotel, staff friendly and helpful. Clean, quiet and conveniently located. We walked everywhere. Parking was expensive, everywhere in downtown is, but there is a nearby lot that we used. Unfortunately it did not have in/out privileges. We had breakfast every morning, generous serving sizes and very tasty. Will stay here again without hesitation.
