The Beacon is beautiful, the staff is excellent very helpful and super accommodating. Beds and linens very comfy

The room is very small, for the amount you're paying for the hotel I would have expected a larger room. Not sound proof at all, you can hear everything. Some of the updates were done quickly and you can see a lot of issues when you look, especially in the bathrooms.

had problems with Amazon goods provenly delivered but not found by the staff or said to have been picked up by someone else.
This gives a sense of dishonesty and disorganization. Also, I was there during 2 days (12-14 and 16-18 of March). The recepcionist of the first stay was great. The recepcionist of the second stay was louzy, was not responsive to my queries.

Positives:
Stunning heritage hotel. Beautifully renovated. Exudes old world charm and character where today, most hotels are bland and cold feeling from being overly modern and trying too hard to be chic. Magnificent entrance. Friendly and attentive staff. Extremely comfortable bed, I slept very well here. The piano bar in their lobby is a must. The pianist/singer in there was fantastic.
