The hotel was within a walking distance to the event we were attending.
Negatives:
One of the elevators was giving us a hard time to make it to work. No one told us that we had to use our room key to make it to work.

The hotel was in perfect downtown location, around 10 minute walk to San Diego Diridon station, as well as the downtown area with plenty of bars/restaurants and supermarkets. Also short walk to the hockey arena.
The hotel was very clean and comfortable, and the room was, clean and comfortable with fridge and TV and drink making facilities.
The staff were very friendly, polite and very helpful.
I enjoyed a drink in the bar, although it was closed one evening for a private function.

The hotel was good, and nothing I didn't like about it.

Positives:
The location was excellent. I was a quick walk to many, many restaurants. The coffee shop on the 1st floor was amazingly good. Apple Park, the Winchester Mystery House, and the San Jose Airport were 10 minutes away at most.
I valet parked my rental, and enjoyed my couple of days!
Negatives:
There wasn’t much no to like. There is an empty restaurant space off the lobby, but the other places are so close that it had little impact.

The bed was hard, the pillows were hard with no other options available, it was located right on a noisy street and the air conditioning was loud. Toilets flushed, but extremely slowly. No food availability in the hotel.

It’s a wonderful location, very close to San Pedro Square, excellent food, easy access to Diridon station, Sharks games, easy walks to night life and friendly people. The De Anza Hotel is up and coming. The Hedley Room opens in March.
Negatives:
Don’t bring a car. Park a couple blocks away, if you must. Parking is wildly expensive.
