The hotel was a nice experience overall. I usually do not stay at Best Westerns, but this was a good experience and the location was great as it was right next to the downtown main streets.

Everything as as expected and a little better. Room had a nice mid-size mini fridge and microwave.

it was close to everything. we had a great time exploring Ventura on our bikes.

Since Covid-19 broke out theyre using this location to house the homeless of Ventura. Kudos to them for helping out, but that wasnt advertised. Did not feel safe at the property. The staff was rude and wouldnt let us cancel our reservation. They did let us change our reservation from 4 days down to 1. So we were stuck paying $200 instead of the $1100. We paid and promptly left and booked another hotel.

Should advertise what is going on and the location and let guests who are uncomfortable cancel with no charge.

Best thing was the proximity to the downtown area. Also the proximity to the Beach and Pier.

The breakfast offering could have been better. They should offer what they did Sunday the rest of the days of the week. It would have been nice if the pool had been open.
