Positives:
The price and location are great.
Negatives:
I mean I would’ve liked a microwave in room, but for the price that’s not something I’m gonna complain about

Comfortable and served its purpose

Pleasant
Positives:
Worn out everything but pretty clean. If you stay here, I recommend to visit Union Market, just 10 min away by foot
Negatives:
Neighborhood between railroad and 4-lane street.

Passable
Positives:
Facilities are very (!) basic, there is e.g. no kettle to boil water, the only microwaves are in the lobby and unfortunately not that clean, the room service, however, did a very good job of keeping the rooms clean every day! The staff in the lobby was mostly neutral or friendly. The location in a broader sense is really nice (Union Market is very lively and provides diverse opportunities for dining and shopping and is decorated with beautiful vibrant street art), the very immediate surroundings of the Red Carpet Inn however, are rather dirty and loud (directly next to the highway, a lot of trash lying around on the last few meters there).
Negatives:
No way to have hot water when its super cold, coffee was only available from 6-9(sometimes 9:30) and the basement rooms are directly facing the parking lot, thus provide very little privacy or opportunity to even open the blinds (as every walk by and sorry but random stranger on the parking lot has a direct close view onto ones bed), also unfortunately the safe was not working, so that one had to carry all valuables with them during day trips (or risk them getting lost/stolen)

Good
Positives:
The hotel is low-cost but a high-value property with a short walk to the Metro. Washington is an expensive city and the hotel was good value. Also, the staff were very helpful. The room was clean and had two Queen beds.
Negatives:
The TV was not connected and there were not any coffee-making facilities. The hotel is on a busy road without many crossing opportunities.

They allowed me to check in early
Negatives:
Some of the guest from the hotel hit our car and I think he was high or something , and I think there is a lot of person there smoking marijuana.

Superb
Positives:
Close to downtown DC. Clean enough and good for price point.
Negatives:
Neighborhood around seems dangerous and someone knocked on our door in the middle of the night. As we were checking out a housekeeper spit off the balcony and it almost landed on us…gross.

Positives:
The location is quiet, considering it is on a main.
Negatives:
Strong smell of disinfectant, the decor was very tired and the towels were small and a bit thread bare.
