My hubby and I chose Hampton inn great location in deland due to we both don't drive.So being close to places to shop,eat ,and take transit bus service votran bus was important .it's just nice to have a nice clean hotel and friendly atmosphere is always nice.
Rooms were cleaned always got trash out and towels every morning was a plus

The breakfast.
Issues I have dairy issues and the milk wasn't lactose free milk
For future add dairy free milk for guest with dairy issues.
The meats
The sausage taste to porky
The bacon to greasy but good
The eggs western omelets had cheese so I couldn't eat them and they looked good.
The milk please for the future add lactose free for guest who can't have dairy products
The juices were ok only issues is I can't do orange juice and cranberry juice was om

Location was pretty good, close to restaurants - not within walking distance, but a short drive. King room was a very nice size, it was clean and the bed was comfortable. Breakfast was pretty standard fair.
Negatives:
A dog was howling in a room nearby and was annoying - I assume the owner left it there while they were doing something else in the hotel... Thankfully, it wasn't doing so all night.
