Disappointing
Positives:
The rooms are lovely, and very spacious. Comfortable beds, and a beautiful rooftop pool. The area the hotel is located in is fantastic. It is within walking distance of dozens of restaurants, and is nearby shopping. It is close enough to uber to downtown or south beach - but the Surfside and Bal Harbour areas are absolutely stunning. This hotel is located DIRECTLY across the street from Surfside beach. The front desk has beach towels, and beach chairs that you can take with you to the beach. The staff is very welcoming and kind. They went above and beyond to make sure we were happy. This was my second stay at this same hotel. They recently remodeled and the hotel is beautiful. The price point is fantastic for what you get.
Negatives:
The only complaint I have about this property is that it does not have a consistent restaurant (grill) within it. The food quality was not great and most items were sadly overcooked (some to the point where it was inedible). The breakfast buffet before the remodel was much better. The food from the rooftop grill needs quality control, as does the breakfast buffet. Good news is there is some FANTASTIC restaurants nearby, as well as a grocery store - where you can get everything you need to make your stay comfortable. Also, NO bottles of water in the room was disappointing - the water in the lobby is VERY expensive (be sure to pick up a bunch at the market)
