The Rooftop pool was nice. The staff both at the front desk and the bar where very helpful whilst giving recommendations. The location was good if you wanted to visit the Bayside Mall, there is plenty of food options there.
Negatives:
Their wasn't a great choice of bars at the hotel, the main bar didn't open until around 5pm the only other bar was a small little room by the pool which wasn't great, neither bar had any draught beer. The Bathrooms where a bit warn out.

Check in was not at all welcoming. I checked in with an APPROVED request for late check out. I provided a copy from Booking.com, stating my request was APPROVED for late check out by 2PM at no additional cost. The check in clerk contacted the manager in charge. He stated I could not stay until 2PM unless I rendered an additional $200. The manager did not attempt to find resolution. He lacked empathy and the willingness to assist. Very disappointing. I paid the additional $200. What’s most concerning was not the monetary dispute but the lack of service associated with the Hilton. Hilton's brand pillars are clearly stated on their website. They value Hospitality, Integrity, Leadership, Teamwork, Ownership, and Now (a sense of urgency). This facility was lacking hospitality. No customer service. Beds were extremely uncomfortable. Non working toilets, broken hand held shower head. Sadly the Gabriel is a bit run down. Decor in the Lobby is pretty with art on the walls. However, as a guest our room # 1008 needed maintenance especially in the bathroom.
I selected this location to have easy access to the Life Time Miami Half Marathon. Runners starting line was on Biscayne Boulevard. I selected the location not the facility. TRAVELERS BEWARE!! I carefully planned this visit. Booking.com contacted the hotel. They rendered an APPROVED request yet it was not honored upon arrival. To make matters worse, After reviewing my bank charges today, there are multiple charges exceeding the $200 the manager requested for a late check out. In total for our ONE NIGHT stay I was charged over $900. It was not worth it. I have stayed at luxury resort for less than that. Staff was not at all welcoming. They all appeared to be a bit robotic and just there collecting a paycheck. I will attempt to request a refund however based on my recent experience, I seriously doubt it will happen. Best I can do is write about my experience. It’s the principle of the matter.

The room was really dirty with lots of dust and crumbles on the floor in the bathroom. The bathroom had black hair on the wall and in the tub. The fridge had previous guests' food leftovers which was disgusting. The room I stayed in had a loud AC unit that kept me awake at night. The towels are worn out.
