Sonesta is pet friendly! Pets weighing less than 80 pounds are welcome. A non-refundable pet fee will be charged to the guest’s account upon check-in based upon the length of stay -- 6 nights up to $75, 7+ nights up to $150. Proper medical certification specifying that all vaccinations are up to date must be available upon request. Pets may be left unattended in your room. Positives:
I loved the location of the hotel. We were able to walk to Dollar Tree, Wawa and to the restaurants for lunch and dinner.
Negatives:
I didn’t like the stench smell that was lingering in our room. I also did not like that the hotel doesn’t let you know up front prior to booking a full payment, non refundable room, that there is $150 security deposit as well as $15/per day SELF PARKING in a regular parking lot. There was not any extra level of security that warranted guests paying $15/day for parking. Also, the beds were extremely too soft causing my husband and I to not sleep comfortably at all.

The lady that help us with the towels (Rose?) was wonderful .. She was fast and willing to help ... the room was huge ...I love the distribution and the space...Love the open closet area and that they have a safe, and a big kitchen living room area in the type of apartment room we got. very quiet for sleeping....I loved they have a Starbucks or nice coffee shop inside the hotel . They also have a Minimarket/supplies area which came super super handy when someone in my party run out of feminine products and needed to have a snack while hungry a few hours before dinner! The female attendant on the day when I check in in this reception area was bilingual ...it was such a plus. She was very patient and helpful with the information I needed. I loved they were other restaurants and discounted stores and other convenient stores the area, walking distance. We were impressed how fast Uber and App rides came and go to this place. Be mindful they have another Sonesta in International Drive I believe and my Uber Ride send me there...so I have to come back and ask for another ride !!!!!
Negatives:
I didn't love the smoking area in the way to my room. I didn't love it seemed a bit too quiet and "dead" for my taste...It could be a good thing for others ..At the beginning it took a couple of times to figure out how to get to the room but it was not bad ..I misunderstood I have to go through the pool which was a nuisance with my big suitcase but that was not necessary ..I needed to study the map a bit more...It was not bad to navigate the place, specially if you know where you park ... The place is actually very compact. Just be mindful this is Florida and walking distance means crossing roads and wide avenues. I didn't love to see a few stores or restaurants closed or out of business . You have to get an Uber or ride if you want to go to the parks, this place is not walking distance to the Disney or Universal area. FYI

The rooms and outdoor areas could use a refresh. Paint was chipping, couch was dirty, carpet and bedskirt looked dingy.
