Front desk stole our credit card information and we got fraudulent charges right after that

We stayed back in June at this hotel in Helen, Georgia. The front desk guy was pretty rude, also he weirdly wants our home address associated with the credit card we paid for the rooms. After several weeks, he called us multiple times lying to us saying he would like the phone number associated with the credit card. His reason is he wants to return our deposit but couldn’t unless he has our phone number. I made a stupid mistake and gave him. Right after that, we got a fraudulent charge from a stable place nearby in a town about 15 mins to Helen. It’s was almost $600 dollars. Luckily, I called the stable and told them it was not us authorizing the card and the stable told us these people booked a horse riding group tour with them. Luckily for us, with the help of the stable, we were able to get them refund us the money.
DONT STAY AT THIS HOTEL AND IF YOU DO, PLEASE PROTECT YOUR CARD AND DONT EVER GAVE THEM THE ADDRESS AND PHONE NUMBER. Saw other comments from our guests stayed at this hotel got fraudulent charges right after they checked in the hotel, really wish whoever is at the front desk doing this will be caught and punished for this!

The rooms were quite spacious and the check-in process was expedited. There was some breakfast included. The hotel is conveniently located, a three-minute drive to Helen. Overall the value for money rate was nice.
