The room was so small! Bed was lumpy, and the floor needs to be steamed clean. The front desk staff were not as helpful nor friendly, except for the one who checked us in.

The rooms could be cleaner. The cleaners don't even mop the floors unless they're tipped. I'm not sure how often they change the bed linen; it doesn't smell fresh. The furniture and blinds in the room didn't close completely because they were broken. the room clearly lacks freshness and updates

I was told we could request someone to change out towels- otherwise staff wouldn’t come since our stay was under the cleaning cadence. This was completely understood and ok with us. Someone unexpectedly entered our room to change out the trash and towels sometime late in the afternoon past 2:30 pm. Appreciated but also we did not request it and we left our room in disarray getting ready for a wedding we attended that afternoon. We arrived in the evening and notice the trash and towels were changed out.

My wife and I travel to Oahu often from The Big Island and we rarely stay in downtown Waikiki.
This last trip we stayed at The Hotel Renew because it was within walking distance to the beach and was very affordable and walking distance to the beaches and walking distance to everything you need. The hotel was super clean and the rooms were comfortable and fresh. We will definitely be staying there again on our next trip. The staff was very friendly and extremely helpful with all of our needs. I give The Hotel Renew 5 stars across the board.
It’s not your average small hotel
Well done to all the folks who made are trip complete with a great experience and accommodation.
