Lovely hotel with friendly staff
Positives:
I loved the Brutalist design of the hotel and how they leaned into that aesthetic with info on the building's history. I was in a city view corner king, which was super cute, spacious, and got great light. The pool area is amazing—the pool is large and there are plenty of loungers, so it never felt crowded.
Negatives:
My room was on the third floor, overlooking the street corner, and it was kind of loud at night. I think this was mostly due to the fact that the lanai sliding doors seemed old and they definitely were not soundproof. And I say this as a person who lives on the third floor of a building on a busy street in Brooklyn and has a balcony over looking the street—this room let in more noise than I get in my apartment.
Next time I would book a room on a higher floor or one with a pool view to not be overlooking the street.

Super cute, comfy hotel, but...

We arrived early after a 10 hour flight from Australia. The young woman receptionist was wonderful and very understanding.
We loved the comfy bed, the location, the retro feel of the hotel, the pool and bar area.

Clean, courteous staff, valet parking.
Negatives:
No microwave. Why charge Resort Fee if only staying overnight. A lot of the locals fly in from outer islands for business. In my case, a funeral. We check in after 3pm and checkout following day by 11.

The room was small even though there were two beds. The shower head isn’t great. The air conditioner did not work properly. I still haven’t been refunded my $200 deposit and it’s been 7 days since I’ve left. They should just hold that money in case there is damage, not cash it in right away.

Beds are on the soft side, balcony doors in my unit did not fit well or lock. Shower/Tub area has no safety handles or non skid protection, very slippery.
