The views were lovely, the room was very comfortable and our patio was great. We chilled out here at the end of our trip to Hawaii, just before leaving, and it was a scenic spot to do so.
I was disappointed to find out that the restaurant/bar was closed and that there were no buffet/evening events anymore - the resort was very upfront about this but it was such a shame. As the resort is in a residential area, it would be so much better if there were food and drink facilities available there. Hopefully, it will start up again soon!
Relaxing waterside retreat
The room I was in was directly below the reception lobby (room 65). The sound of footsteps above was disturbingly loud, with people walking through during the night at least once an hour. I hardly got any sleep because it was more obvious at night. I complained about this as soon as I woke up. I requested a refund for the night and for the manager to come down to listen to the noise to verify I had a legitimate concern. The manager responded to say they wouldn’t give me a refund for the stay and I should have told them earlier.
The resort overall was mediocre. No restaurant on site (which was as described, just disappointing, for the price), not even any sugar/creamer for coffee in room. Photo of room on booking page did not look like the room we stayed in - far more basic in our case.
Room not suitable for sleeping,...
The chairs are not comfortable at all.
Loved our view, was a bit sad there wasn't any food options provided so had to travel to get food. Location is nice and quiet. Rooms were just what we needed
Unfortunately we found a cockroach in our bathroom - but we dealt with it ourselves and only saw the one.
Easy going, relaxing place to...
The view from our room was great. The rather remote location was just what we wanted.
The couch is very uncomfortable and shabby. The room is microscopic and the cooking facilities are minimalist. The bathroom doesn't have a fan which is unfortunate.
I don't regret staying there,...
Location! Closet to beach for sunrise and stunning views of Mokoli from the floating docks.
Thank you Chris (and others)...
Quiet, comfortable. Nice view of water from cottage 29. No bugs in or out.
The only thing was it was a little short on horizonal surfaces. Maybe remove sliding doors on closet so thT you utilized entire space. Just a thought.
The banana bread and coffee for breakfast was very good. The view was outstanding and the people were very helpful and friendly.
Best vacation I’ve ever had.
Comfortable room. Near a nice bay. Felt pretty private. Staff was friendly.
Decent place, but very overpriced considering what was offered. Parking situation was also not ideal, and you're going to want a car because there is nothing nearby. Even food requires either a car or uber eats, as they didn't have a restaurant on the facilities. Housekeeping did not service us during our entire trip (we had to go to reception for more towels). When checking in, we were told little-to-no information about the "resort" and its facilities (or lack there of).
Okay but overpriced. Would not...
Staff View (from resort; not from room). Location Birds singing like a zoo aviary Excursion snorkeling
extremely spartan in furnishings and decor with no comfortable seating. Booked 1 BR suite: website and booking amenities says suites have a private lanai patio; the 2 BR suite given us had no lanai or even porch; biggest disappointment
Beautiful property, kayaking out into the bay with the epic mountains was a highlight. View of the same mountains from the breakfast /check in area.
Rooms were good, some of the cabinetry a bit worse for the wear. Food options in the immediate area are more limited without going to Kailua. Breakfast was just some banana bread and coffee so stocking up on some more breakfast foods would be a good idea.
Beautiful property, gorgeous views, nice...
Staff, morning coffee and treat, views
Hosing off the patio just as guests were up and moving was dangerous. This should have been done earlier. The gym should be open at 7 am. Guests are leaving the hotel by 9 for day activities. Paying for resort perks that weren't available was sad.
