Americas Best Value Inn & Suites-Boise

Negatives: Security guard escorted me into the office and then back to my car. Told me it wasn’t safe. He was telling people outside the building to take their drugs and leave. Showed me where the cameras were and said not to use any other entrance. Very dirty inside, someone threw bloody sheets in the hall. If I hadn’t already paid online and non-refundable, we would have left. Sickest place I have ever stayed at. Made Motel 6 look like a mansion.

Negatives: Everything.

Negatives: Room smelled; couch was so filthy I did not want to touch it. Lamp unplugged and with a burned-out lightbulb; no chair for the desk at all. I requested a non-adjoining room- was placed in a room with an adjoining room, but was told no one was staying in the adjoining room; Then I heard the person in the adjoining room; went to front desk an informed the srtaf member that the adjoining room was occupied. She replied she had just rented it out, but that was untrue, and I saw the person in the adjoining room when I arrived at the motel. "Pet friendly" means barking dogs, apparently. No elevator to the second floor- with bags it was difficult. All in all, a disappointing experience.

Negatives: It needs a deep cleaning. Floors and tub were not clean. The fridge didn’t work.

Negatives: Front desk kitchen cannot find my reservation very easily

Negatives: Bookings.com had it rated as a 3-star hotel. It was a 1-star hotel. Dirty (filthy windows/curtains, gross flooring & washroom), old, thin walls, sketchy clientelle. Had to wait at reception for a long time and finally the lady in front of us called the reception desk to tell her we were out front waiting.

Negatives: My first room had standing water in the dirty tub. I unstoppered the drain, it drained out but within minutes it came bubbling back up out of the drain until there was 4 inches of dirty water in the tub. It took them almost an hour to figure out what to do which was give us a different room. The 2nd room had multiple light bulbs missing or burned out. It had a very large wad of hair in the bathroom. And the included microwave didn't work. They offered me no sort of compensation for the issues. (And at check in they charged me a $50 deposit that wasn't listed on Booking.com...for a $45 room).
