Positives:
The breakfast was great better than some hotels we stay in.. The location is right off the freeway and behind a gas station with a Taco bell, so if you get hungry it's right there.. we got a suite and it was fairly roomy. The hotel seemed updated and freshly painted.. The outdoor patio fireplace is real nice and has a great view of the mountains..
Negatives:
We booked through a 3rd party and the Hotel 28 holds 25 dollars just in case you decide to get any type of food or snacks from their little store.. Why would you not just charge as you purchase instead of holding money for a "Just in Case" then it takes 5 days to refund that 25 if you don't use it.. Also when we tried to use the shower and turned on the water the tub spout just shot out. We couldn't use the shower at all. We told the front desk about it, but We only stayed the 1 night so it didn't help us at all. 3 stinky kids no good for a long car ride home... Also the pull out mattress had stains all over it and was really thin and worn out. Not easy to sleep in especially for a kid..

Check in was easy. The staff was friendly. The bed was comfortable and the room was pretty spacious. I had to do some work and it was fairly easy to get work done.
Negatives:
Hallway floor smelled a little moldy. We were there for six nights. The breakfast was pretty good, but a little more variety would be nice. Maybe omelettes instead of scrambled eggs? Bacon instead of sausage every day?

Liked the ease of access as we just stopped for a quick night's sleep on a long road trip. Front desk staff was super helpful at 1:15am when we arrived.
Negatives:
Breakfast didn't start until 7am on Saturday -- it would have been nice to grab something before we left at 6:30.
