Negatives: Front desk night shift was inflexible with reservation. We didn’t have enough room on one credit card to reserve the stay and pay for the room deposit. we wanted to split up the charges onto two cards, as is allowed at most hotels, including the Hiltons I’ve stayed at many times before. The concierge said the system couldn’t allow it. I didn’t believe her. we offered cash and other cards to cover the deposit. It was the weekend so I couldn’t move more cash into my account until Monday. I told them I’m $5 short to cover both charges. could she wait a couple days? No. could she discount the room $5? No. She wouldn’t make any exceptions. Just left us there. she obviously couldn’t care whether or not we stayed there. Zero customer service. no apologies. nothing. shameful. We almost had to cancel our reservation. Thankfully my partner had enough on her card to cover the total. Was a bad experience. Not the way I wanted to start my vacation. We decided to only stay two nights and moved to the luxury hotel Viceroy. It was Amazing. excellent customer service and beautiful hotel. we will never come back to this Hyatt ever again. And I love the Hyatt and am a member of their club. Disappointing for Hyatt brand. Our room was nice and comfortable, no frills though. Breakfast there had a lot of options. Pool was small but nice.
