Gorgeous, fun
Positives:
Location good for walking to Millennium Park. The facilities were generally great, very pretty design, outdoor deck and sitting area was lovely, outdoor pool and hot tub are a nice perk. Clean rooms, comfortable bed, good space layout in the room. Staff was friendly and professional. Good coffee in the room and nice complentary soap, lotion and shampoo that was not overly perfumed. We had a nice view of the Wrigley building peeking between other tall downtown buildings.
Negatives:
The indoor hot tub was out of service during our stay. The parking garage is expensive. The room mini bar and snack area is a little crowded and awkward to use. The ice machine was so cleverly disguised we could not find it at first. We appreciate the mini bar but probably would have preferred using the fridge for dinner leftovers and chilling our water bottles.

The location of the hotel was great for a romantic city view and we really enjoyed the resteraunt down stairs.The service was outstanding! It was my husbands birthday and our waitress made his morning feel special with a delicious surprise.
Negatives:
I honestly cant think of anything dissatisfying about our stay. The room was comfortable, clean, and we had a beautiful view from nearly every angle. The staff was helpful and friendly but they didnt feel very welcoming.

The room had a very nice view of Lakeshore East Park. And there was a steam room! It is hard to find a decent steam room these days.

The room was slightly dated, and the game room needs some updating.

Nice resort style hotel in...
Positives:
Location was excellent. Walking distance to everything in the area. The 3rd floor walking track and the views there at night were amazing.
Negatives:
Very uncomfortable pillow and bed, woke up stiff and achy. The balcony would have been nice if someone wasn’t smoking outside and blasting their music early in the morning. Handheld shower head was not working. AC was not working well, it was warm even when it was set at 65 degrees.

Corner balcony room was wonderful. Great view, great room. While we waited for the room to become ready they comped us free drinks at the bar.

Room wasn't ready until almost 2 hrs after the 3 pm check-in time. They didn't really seem to have our reserved room reserved. The check-in person just found one in the computer after a lot of searching. In other words, the room type we had reserved apparently hadn't been saved for us, even though we had confirmed our arrival the day before. Noisy lobby and bar. Nothing cozy about the lobby experience. It was always a relief to get upstairs, where everything was indeed wonderful. And in the end we did get exactly the room type we had reserved (the last one, we were told).

The location of the hotel is great and the gym and pool facilities were very good.
Negatives:
The rooms vary massively. We had 2 x superior garden view king rooms. One was lovely, spacious, large outside balcony with access from sliding doors, bathroom with bath and shower. The other which we were told was the same standard felt smaller, only had a shower (no bath) small balcony with no access to it!
Upon complaining we were told there were no other rooms and it is the same standard!
You have to request a room service every time you want one or the room is not served. You cannot even pre request that it is regularly done. Not great for a 4* hotel.
The upper bar/cocktail area was for events only so the only bar available was in the breakfast/dinner area so not a comfortable or relaxing atmosphere.
