Positives:
The price and how close it was to everything in downtown.
Positives:
Location
Positives:
Location, location, location.
Negatives:
The room is outdated.
Positives:
Location was good for activities we had planned. Room was smaller than my wife and I are used to, but it was well maintained. Staff was excellent and very helpful.
Negatives:
I don't believe there was a restaurant in the hotel which I would expect from a hotel with its rating. Also due to location and restrictions related to access of the hotel from Michigan Avenue, it was confusing, when trying to arrange for Lyft services.

Very good
Positives:
The location is great the rooms are dated but its an old building so its all i character
Negatives:
So I had booked to stay here every month this year and 3 stays of 3 nights each time the attitude of the staff when asking simple questions is quite rude. I had an incorrect deposit charge in my card and I knew I was correct I tried politely explaining the payment had cleared twice and the woman talked over me and was very rude throughout - it soiled my experience so for the rest of 2023 and all of 2024 I moved myself and my staff to another hotel. Service is paramount, I rarely leave reviews but that one person just made it not worth it, and we spend significant revenue. Did spend. Still waiting for a call back from the manager of which the lady told me would happen.

Passable
Positives:
The location was great. Right in the heart of the magnificent mile, plenty of bars, restaurants, fast food & coffee spots right on the doorstep. Bus stop & subway also within minutes of the hotel doors.
Negatives:
The bedding was thin, the decor was dated & the room was not cleaned unless requested 24 hours prior which I find very odd for any hotel, but especially a hotel apparently rated 4 star on in downtown Chicago. Waiting for the lift was painful at times. No restaurant for breakfast at the hotel.

The location is great & it has a good gym on the 25th floor bit that about sums up the positives. The rooms dont ge
Positives:
Staff is generally friendly and well-intended. Free water bottles. Great gym.
Negatives:
I stayed here during the Chicago marathon, which is surely a busy time, but this hotel is way too expensive for what it is:
1. Rooms are only serviced upon request 24hrs prior
2. Restaurant not working (during the busiest time of the year!)
3. Free internet, but its kinda slow
4. No shuttle service to airport, lobby is inconvenient on the second floor. Nobody opens the doors or helps w luggage
5. Thin walls. You can hear your neighbors having fun and if your room is by the elevator, you hear every elevator arrive. Sirens outside due to nearby hospital audible on every floor
6. Elevators take forever, on Friday they were all down for 20min (maintenance came to fix). One wasnt working at all. Most of them dont go up to the 25th floor where the gym is (you cant call the elevator to go down from there, gotta take the stairs to 24 and call one from there)
7. Old lamp in the room would flicker and barely turn on
8. Bag storage is not secure - everyone just puts their bags in the back, accessible for anyone and no oversight, no responsibility
9. Blanket had stains. Bed was ok.

Negatives:
The nonview from my room on 5th floor
