Hyatt Regency O'Hare Chicago

Negatives: They didn’t have our room ready until 6pm!!! They were rude and didn’t try to accommodate us. They just told us to wait.

Negatives: Third party booking could not get the discount rate of the conference I attended.

Negatives: The only somewhat discordant note concerns the complementary water at 4€ for guests, not exactly the height of hospitality. Otherwise everything else is okay.

Negatives: I would say that some of the pricing was a bit high but that is to be expected with Chicago and for the event we went for. I do wish the mini-fridges weren't just for drinks and were cold enough for food.

Negatives: I called months in advance asking for early check in and was told to call week of to ask, I called week of asking for early check in and was told to ask morning of, I called at 9am and was told to just arrive early and ask, I arrived early and was told they could not check me in 2 hours earlier, but also that they were downgrading the room I paid for and for the inconvenience they would comp my parking. I told them I ubered and didn’t have a need for it and was told “you’ll get $50 credit to use in our restaurant” I told them I have a very strict diet due to health issues and can’t eat there and was told “you’ll get a $50 credit back at the end of your stay” i was told they had no rooms and to wait for a text. The moment I sat down in the lobby and the man at the front desk who had helped me walked away my phone went off saying my room was ready… it had been less than 5 minutes. I went up where a girl was, as she checked me in I asked her for late checkout. She told me “you need to call Sunday morning and ask, I cannot do it now.” Which I have NEVER had a Hyatt do to me before… I said “I can’t just request my room be a 3pm check out now?” And she said “no” the charging ports in our beds were broken, the bathroom wasn’t super clean etc. But I was so over the front desk I just dealt. I use a cane to walk, the 2 doors leading to the skybridge IN the Hyatt still did not work with the handicap button which was very hard at times for me coming to and from multiple times a day. Sunday morning I call the front desk around 10am and ask for 3pm checkout, they tell me they will extend to 1pm and call later if needing more. I call at 12pm saying I need 3pm checkout and was told “we are booked solid, you need to be out by 1pm” Will NEVER stay at this specific location again, what a nightmare…
