Kay the front desk receptionist was very rude and was of no help when we explained that the bed linen had stains on both bed sheets. We requested new sheets or a change of room, and this was denied. She stated she will let the manager know tomorrow. This was unacceptable and she kept ‘ blowing’ us off. Absolutely poor customer service. We called the Marriott service customer team several times and they will not answer the phone at the front desk at the Rockville Sheraton. Very disappointing. Wall paper in room was kept up with a line of staples . Just disgusting!

Positives:
Bed was very comfortable, and bathroom was pleasant, clean and spacious. Good location with quick access to main highway. Plenty of free parking on site. Located in a nice quiet residential area with restaurants and a good size super market within walking distance. Felt safe.
Negatives:
No warm welcome from reception on arrival. Staff member seemed unhappy and hardly spoke. Room décor was dark and gloomy. On first day of stay, I put my 'do not disturb' sign on my door as I was wanted to sleep in the afternoon due to jetlag. Then I was woken on 2 separate occasions by housekeeping banging on my door to ask if I wanted housekeeping! On the second day of my stay, I'd removed my 'do not disturb' sign and housekeeping never showed up. Free WiFi was not secure.

Location and the Hotel Staff...
Positives:
The location is convenient and clean.
Negatives:
There is a sign in the parking lot that reads “park at your own risk” which sparked a safety concern for me. The room did not have a luggage stand for my suitcase and the bathroom wastebasket did not have a plastic liner. Lastly, the hotel has adjoining rooms and I was not informed of this or asked my room type preference. I do not prefer adjoining rooms so the staff member made the change for me quickly.
