Positives: The staff was extremely polite and accommodating, even when we had to present them with our request to leave the property due to the extremely poor condition of the room we were provided.
Negatives: When we arrived we were informed of the hotel amenities, but it was politely pointed out that the pool was out of service (never a good sign regarding the general upkeep of a hotel upon arrival), and the fitness center was open, but recently vandalized, so we needed to be careful as a result of the damage, which was hinted at being broken glass. Despite the concerning intro, we headed up to our room which was on the third floor. The room that we were provided was, for lack of a better word, deplorable. It was very dark and dingy, and looked as if it had been partially destroyed by a previous occupant, yet somehow was still open for public use. There was mold in the bathroom around the tub, on the ceilings, and in the corners of the floor both inside the bathroom and out in the room itself. The perimeter and framing around the closet was moldy and rusted, in fact just about everything in the room appeared rusted or moldy. There were large chunks of paint missing from the door, scratches throughout the wall doors and furniture, and even two or three holes in the walls around the room. The lamp shades were all stained and misplaced and there no chair at the desk. The bureau which housed the TV had a quarter inch wide crack all the way through front to back on the marble top. We immediately took pictures out of a concern that we would be held responsible for these damages if we stayed in the room, but after giving the entire room a once over, we decided we would not be staying. We could have opted to be relocated in the hotel to another room, but we were so skeeved out by what we walked into, that we simply chose to get a full refund and leave and go elsewhere. The staff was extremely accommodating and not confrontational in the least, so I do give them a lot of credit for how they handled the situation. They apologized and I was told that the room must have been out of service yet somehow released back into rotation.

Positives: Location to my event
Negatives: I didn’t like the fact that I woke up to a roach/bug on my pillow. My first room smelled like fish that even a can of Lysol and room spray didn’t help. The staff was understanding and tried to be accommodating but didn’t like the response from the manager on duty to the incident. The cleaning could be a lot better especially in the breakfast area.. The same weave was on the floor both times I went to breakfast area so it’s clear the floor wasn’t swept.

Positives: The location was great to the hospital across the street. The staff was very helpful and extremely pleasant. They serve breakfast.
Negatives: The room was very damp. Even a piece of paper laying on the desk was damp in the morning. My clothes stay damp and the towels never dried. The walls throughout hotel had something splattered on them. The floors needed a good cleaning. It needs an update. The area in front of the hotel needs a good pressure wash.
