This restored large hotel was nicely located in Boston. The staff was very friendly and helpful. Our room on the 9th floor had a great view. The room itself was on the smaller side & the bathroom was definitely tight but understandable in a hotel of 1926 vintage.
Negatives:
It was very busy which made it a bit slow while getting breakfast.

Lovely stay in a nice...
Positives:
There was plenty of room in the bedroom. Facilities in the room and elsewhere were great. Location was very nice - beside 2 lovely parks and easy access to the city centre and harbour.
Negatives:
Our main disappointment was that the hotel deducted $375 from my debit card, which was not returned to me till 1 month later. They said this was due to the bank's processes, not theirs, but even if it was, $375 was a much bigger deduction than any other hotel we used in USA>

Enjoyed the hotel and its...
Positives:
Very well located, subway around the corner so getting to points of interest was a breeze. Building is old but it seems it was renovated fairly recently. The whole lobby area looks really nice, clean and well maintained. Has an air of grandeur and sophistication like in the old movies. Hallways at the rooms floors are well lit and wide and the rooms are nice and comfortable. It’s an urban hotel so I don’t know if it has a pool but there is a gym, it has its own restaurant (never ate at it so don’t know about the food) and also an Italian restaurant which can be accessed from the lobby or the street. Around the hotel are also other restaurants so there are enough options for breakfast, lunch and dinner.
Negatives:
There was really nothing to not like, maybe the fact that the room we had had a really small closet and no dresser with drawers for clothes could be an issue for some people, but we were there for four days and three nights and didn’t really missed them at all.

We booked a king size bed with bath and view which wasn’t available on arrival and were supposedly upgraded to 2 queens , no bath and no view. Room was bigger but not what was booked. Constant banging started around 6 am on last day which was annoying.
