Good
Positives:
Service in the Punch Bowl.
Negatives:
When we arrived I noticed some of the fruit in the fruit bowls by the front desk were turning or had turned bad. When we got to the room we found that one of the remotes for the curtains didn't stay on its wall holder and the remote didn't work. When ti was time to use the reading light only one worked. In the bathroom there are no towel racks or rings near the sink for a hand towel or wash cloth.

Exceptional
Positives:
Location
Negatives:
Was in town for an early morning doctor visit for.my son.Asked staff for shower chair for my disabled son, was told one would be sent up. Never received..asked aagin and was told the same but was never received.. had to scramble again in the morning when i was told they just didnt have one. Finally someone found one and delivered it to the room so my son could shower before his doctor visit last minute.. noone told me the 2 times i askedthe night before that it would be an issue. Instead of informing me there was a problem they just decided to ignore my request. Extremely unproffesional given the fact that we were already were dealing with the stress of an ongoing medical situation and an out of state doctors visit . I didnt think that providing a very basic piece of equipment that would make a handicapped childs stay go smoother should have been a difficult issue to resolve or at the very least inform me that it was a problem.. Had i known i wouldve gone to any CVS and bought one so he could shower. When i voiced my complaint your staff rather begrudgedly said theyd take 25$ off the rather pricey room i had booked adding insult to injury..
I was very disappointed in the service provided by staff and the lack of empathy shown.

My best trip to Boston...
Positives:
Convenient location to hospitals and to restaurants and bars on Harvard St.
Negatives:
If you’re not going to offer complimentary breakfast, it might be nice to just put out some breakfast bars and fruit.

Loved it.
Positives:
The hotel itself was very clean and the room was as well, the bed was comfortable, and TV was good size with easy to operate controls (Having been at a Marriot with no working TVs, this is no longer a safe assumption LOL).
The location is close to the more popular areas of Boston while being about $100-$150 cheaper per night than staying in town near Copley Sq. or in the Seaport. The check-in staff was extremely nice, as was the bartender for the short interaction we had at their in-house restaurant, Punch Bowl.
Valet was $45/night, and I'm not a fan of other people driving my car, so I opted for the VERY close (across the street essentially) Brookline Place Parking Garage, highly recommended for those that prefer Self-Parking.
We stayed here to save money on spending the night in town from our Suburban home, and would stay here again, but please see "didn't like" for the nitty gritty.
p.s. if you are going to the Red Sox, this is a very close hotel to the Fenway neighborhood.
Negatives:
Check out front desk attendant was incredibly rude when I asked for a receipt for checkout, and specifically said "you don't get one, and yeah it's Booking, Booking sucks" -referring to Booking.com All I wanted was a checkout receipt, which he did not provide and said I "don't have one". Weird because what did email me then with attachment called "FOLIO", LOL. I'm a local to Boston so I wasn't thrown off by the attitude, and rolled with it, but an out-of-towner might be really offended in person. I'll just dock you on the review, especially to other Booking.com people. Shape up. The room only had 2 clean paper coffe cups (still in plastic), and 1 "used/opened" coffee cup. No glass or alternative drinking vessels were provided. (Cheap Nestle-branded water was being shilled for $3 a bottle in the room, the kind you get 24 of for $3....)
