Exceptional
Positives:
They don't bother you.
Negatives:
Way to overpriced for they offer. Small rooms no carpet. They advertise room service but don't actually have one. They advertise a bar that is closed down and they sell you a bath tub with jets as a Jacuzzi. I'll almost guarantee they have never had any return business. It must be a front business lol

Reasonable room for the money,...
Positives:
This hotel is in a great location and is a cool little hotel with nicely appointed rooms. Beds are very comfortable, sheets are nice quality, soaps, shampoos etc,. are decent quality.
Negatives:
The room was mostly clean but a few dust bunnies in the corner showed it hadn't been really thoroughly cleaned.

Very good
Positives:
The front desk attendant was kind
Negatives:
Travelers beware! You may be enticed to stay at what looks like a contemporary and refreshing take on Hotel accommodations. Don’t be fooled by their tricky photography! The rooms are tiny, brutalist and old. This is an old, derelict building akin to lipstick on a pig. Our “King Suite” had barely enough room to walk around the bed. The shower space was inadequate for a person of a normal size. The view from the rooms is a budget semi-truck parking lot and nothing a normal person would be pleased with. Detroit may have once had a reputation of being a place of ill repute, it isn’t but the Trumbull Hotel certainly still is. At the price point of these rooms you should instead book your stay at one of the various other luxurious hotels downtown. We didn’t even bring our bags in, immediately went to the front desk and expressed that we would seek lodging elsewhere. They assured us that a refund would be in order, however several days go by and several phone calls later and we finally get an e-mail informing us that we would not be refunded!!! I’ll also note that upon entering the “lobby” we were greeted not only by the concierge (who you couldn’t hear) there was a gaggle of indecently loud bachelor party girls screaming and carrying on being the most obnoxious display of unladylike behavior I have ever witnessed. Nobody seemed to want to encourage that debauchery to move those activities along to an appropriate venue. Which was a concern of mine as I intended to sleep at some point in my stay.

Beware!!
Positives:
The location was great and the outdoor space was beautiful.
Negatives:
The door leading from our room to the courtyard rubbed against the concrete and was difficult and loud to open and close. The gate to the secure parking area that we paid extra for was never closed. Felt like a wast of $20.

Negatives:
Asked for a king bed and got a queen bed, it wqs not a comfortable mattress and my wife and I found it hard to get sleep.

Nice and clean room and...
Positives:
The security. I felt safe
Negatives:
The concrete flooring was embarrassing, the restaurant was closed and no pool, the price was ridiculous but we like the spa room, because of the price we won't be back.

Very good
Positives:
We like the overall vibe and the fact that it's an independently owned boutique hotel.we'd be curious to see what it's like in the warmer months.
Negatives:
We were in a very small room with VERY thin walls. We didn't mind the minimalist look/ feel, but the concrete floors were really uncomfortable and the room didn't hold heat well.
The hotel wasn't very full, but we were in a room right next to someone who had his TV on all night, very loud. The desk staff tried to help us by calling him, but wasn't successful. We ended up pounding on the door at 3am. Needless to say, it wasn't a very good night sleep.
