This is a quality hotel. Room was lovely. Very quiet. Staff very nice. Classy. It is a cut above.
Negatives:
It is overpriced for the location. We felt a little like dealing with the airlines. They charge $20 to park on top of very high room rates. This is not NYC. This is Rochester Michigan. We arrived a bit early. I called and asked if early check in was allowed. They said yes, the room was ready. We showed up and we're told it was an extra fee. After I complained the waived it. We were wondering if we would get charged by the flush. Breakfast is not included.

I usually stay at The Townsend Hotel in Birmingham, but decided to give The Royal Park a try
The Townsend has lost a customer
